5 Trends For Fall
Heavy Statement Outwear Pieces- From chunky knits to over sized box coats, the bigger statement the coat makes, the better. The coat is where the eyes should go this fall. Lush furs and thick wools, the more fabric the better. Don’t be afraid to step out of ordinary fall earth tons, contrasting monochromatic and mixed prints are a go, as long as it has something to say, it’s a piece to be worn.
White isn’t just for summer this year, it is caring itself through the fall and winter too. Just make sure your whites are season appropriate. Pack away your skimpy cottons summer dresses and fill your wardrobe with white sweaters, coats, pants and autumn suited pieces.
Military inspired looks have trickled down into the ready-to-wear lines once again this season. Army greens are always a fall favorite, add some buckles, buttons and fringe detailing and you’re nailin’ this falls look.
Although it isn’t quite “cya later” to the slim fit, we certainly are saying “hello” to slouchy and wide lagged pants. This fall there is a room for movement in your bottoms. We are still seeing cropped hem lines but we also see free flowing bell-bottoms as well. Heavy prints seem be disappearing and solids are back once again.
Mid-Century lines are making a huge come back this fall. The cuts and fits in everything from waist coats to skirts have heavy influence from the mid-century. It is a completely elegant and very feminine feel. The tailored waist is flattering for every woman and it gives a great opportunity to layer for the fall weather.
